Re: Help me write a paper about Louisville Hardcore!

there really aren't/haven't been any active "south end" punk bands. Broken Teeth (ex-Swift Turtle) is definitely a south end punk band. Brave Youth's guitarist, Mike Stewart, lives off of Dixie at a punk house called the house of wax. This is where we record, write, and practice. This house has pla...

Re: Krazy Fest after party

In my opinion, last night's show went really well even though the big Krazy Fest surprises fell though. The best about it was that it was a free all-local show that gave of out-of towners (there were kids from NY, TN, MN, WV IL, IN and TX ) another good opportunity to check out Louisville's hardcore...

ROUND TWO: TONIGHT!

3 locals and a whole bunch of surprises. You do not want to miss this. The show will be free again, but we will be taking donations to repair/replace the gear that Late Ones shared with everyone last night, as well as a little to help us pay our electricity bill.

Re: Help me write a paper about Louisville Hardcore!

Thanks for the responses! That's really insightful, Rob. I think that i'll end up making a documentary about Punk in Louisville over the summer, and I would love to interview you guys as a part of it. So far all the personal interview has been really fun.

Re: Help me write a paper about Louisville Hardcore!

Thanks for chiming in! Could you give a description of how things were when you first got in to it, and how things have changed since then? The more in-depth, the better. When is your paper due? What is your thesis? I have about an hour and a half to complete a fairly significant paper. I'll have a...

Help me write a paper about Louisville Hardcore!

Hey everybody! I'm taking a class on Social Change this semester, and for our term paper we're supposed to write a comprehensive report on social change in any institution, organization, or group that we are interested in. Obviously, I chose Louisville DIY Punk Rock. So far I've interviewed Jamie Pr...

Re: Venues

I live at the Chestnut St. House with Moe, Tyler, Alex, Cam, Chesley, Mikey and Melissa. The bands we play in are Young Lions, Brave Youth, Damaged Goods, Rattletooth, Another Mistake, and Admiral Ackbar, if that helps. With the death of Skull Alley we are fully aware that there will be a whole lot ...

Re: LHxC comp?

I love everything about this. Count Mike and I in to make the tape version of the comp. We need to start making a list of bands we know want to participate, so we can keep up with their progress. Also, I like the idea of doing a CD with zine, a free download, and a tape. Triple threat. For what it's...

i like the little icons for each venue. they make it easy AND fun to read. I stole that from Duncan, he did it with the past ones. Apologies for the handmade one not being the best quality ever. I worked with what I had. Never apologize! Hand-made is the best way! Also, these rule. I'm glad you mad...
