or you can just cut two pieces of cardboard to about 8.5in x 8.5in, place the records inbetween them, and then tape the cardboard edges together with packing tape. always worked for me.

Re: 501c3 or 501c7 for all ages venue

I went back and forth over whether to go 501c3 or LLC for Skull Alley. I opted for LLC mainly because I wanted to include the beer to help make the place more financially stable, and I remembered the general struggle for funds/focus that BRYCC had. In retrospect, I think 501c3 groups CAN get an ABC ...

Re: Left Out, anybody remember them?

FUCK YEAH! I was just jamming their record today weirdly enough.

I'm sure Chris from Plan It X (label who put it out) would love to unload some copies if you want 'em, assuming he hasnt given them all away or something by now.

Re: 10/10 - STRIKE ANYWHERE, DEAD TO ME @ Keswick

yeah, they never did great here. Better when Brycc House was around (i think we did 125 then), but I think Louisville was going through a venue-less crappy period while they were getting huge everywhere else. Honestly, nothing like this does that well around here. I'm really surprised I didn't lose ...

Re: 10/10 - STRIKE ANYWHERE, DEAD TO ME @ Keswick

Yeah, the skull alley show had about 30 more people. The show was super solid, every band slayed and I think everyone who did come was super stoked. The Austin Lucas and Primus shows didn't help turnout for sure, but it still wouldn't have been quite enough. Oh well.

Re: 10/10 - STRIKE ANYWHERE, DEAD TO ME @ Keswick

For the record, Strike Anywhere gave up half of what they normally make just to make sure the show could be affordable and still happen in Louisville (as opposed to Cinci where they've played a million times). Also, this is the first time since skull alley i've tried to bring anyone through town rea...

Aj, if it makes you feel any better, even at $10 I'll still only break even if a christmas miracle happens. At least it's at a place where beer is $1.75 instead of $5, right?! :)

Anwar Sadat is shane from Ayin and William Carpenter from Pilots, their first show so i figured it'd be good to get a few different folks out to the show.

Des Ark is probably one of the top ten live bands I've ever seen and Pygmy Lush rules it hard. I'm sooo stoked to be playing this show.
