It is very cool for Jeremy to have the margin for error to do stuff like this now. He was probably the biggest Telephone Man fan back in the day and this has to be a pet project of sorts.

I should probably mention that Telephone Man's drummer Nick is in a really awesome band, Weird Weeds, who play here on Saturday the 23rd.

The packaging is . . . . funny. Bet you didn't know TM was a 2 piece!

Are you serious, Zach? That's awful, even for you-know-who...

I think I missed something. What packaging are we talking about? That site though, that looks like something hosted on angelfire or geocities or something.

I am excited for this! Kind of a bummer there's not more unheard stuff but I'm happy to even get all of these on one CD with any mastering whatsoever.

I assume Zach was talking about the packaging of the reissue, that it perhaps only lists two members (!) of Telephone Man, which sucks because more than just two people were involved in that band. That punknews site is just a reiteration of the Temporary Residence press release, most likely.

It doesn't have anything in type, but the picture is just of Matt & Ben.

They didn't really have a drummer or bass player though, right? I mean, I'm positive that they were a two-piece folk ensemble, correct?

I thought it was really weird in a way, that they put that stuff in reverse chronological order. I mean, from a listening stand point, I doubt I would've endured beyond the first drum machine song, but from an anthology perspective, placing the tracks in order would have definitely highlighted the bands remarkable progress from basement four-track project, to a contemporary of Rodan. I wrote a review about it that I think you should read.

I thought the same thing, though honestly I've been playing the first two songs on repeat a lot.

Read this a couple days ago, and I agree completely upon having it. I'm happy to have it out, but the order is bizarre, and I would gladly trade the drum machine tracks for unfinished demos.

Also, "Kelly" is fucking great.
