You should've just sent a box of Jello Pudding Pops to Bill Cosby's room.
If people didnt think Prince and The Beatles were so great, we wouldn't have these problems.

Figures that visiting celebrities would stay at 21C. If I were in charge of telling celebrities (that is, ones with any taste whatsoever) where to stay in Louisville, I would send them to 21C too. That place is great. Anybody who hasn't gone down to check out the free art exhibits (and the permanent installations -- ground floor bathrooms and elevator area, for example) is really missing out.

Dealt with Bill Cosby who decided that I was the only person to call for anything- from Kleenex to Croissants.
"William! This is William! My name is William, too!! Listen...I need a danish...a good one...European...no white icing...William, I need you to do this for me."
He's a nut.

I visited with Robert Plant off and on for a few days, moved his car to avoid people, directed him to decent coffee and rural Kentucky locations, and on and such. He was charming and we got along fabulously. We laughed at each other's jokes when nobody else would.
I don't care for Led Zeppelin but I liked him.

I also had to wake up a passed out guy in his room to tell him that he had missed his plane and that his job had fired him.

And this has been a less-than-weird week. A hotel is full of insane stories.
My first Derby at the hotel is coming up so I figure it will be pretty crazy and very soon.

Your job sounds like a lot of fun. No longer at W&W?

It is more fun that you'd expect but it's stressful. I like it but I don't know how long I can do it. I think I am accidentally good at it.

No, I had to give up W&W to go full-time at the hotel. I miss it though.

I work at LG&E. I do customer service. I'd much rather serve donuts to Bill Cosby.

Correction...it's a whole LOTTA' love.

You make him sound English proper when he's obviously a bluesman.

I worked at Highland Coffee for two weeks or so before getting a better job. I enjoyed the coffee thing. I love coffee.

I did have to pull a knife on two guys that followed me to my car on my first day at the downtown location. So the next day they asked "How was downtown?" and I wasn't sure whether to tell them or not because it was so ridiculous.

Didn't you say you worked at Bardstown Rd. Heine Bros. #25? Lol. Seriously, how much coffee can one road drink.

Really.

But hey...must be doing something right. There are always people in 'em.

I want to open a coffee shop just called SECULAR COFFEE. I hate going to a new coffee shop and not knowing until I see the blank eyes of a born again barista that I am in a churchy coffee shop.

I'm a grad $tudent for the University of Missouri doing animal behavior and evolutionary biology research. Right now I'm being paid just to be there but I'll probably have to start teaching eventually.

Someone donate money to Mr. Benton, immediately. Best idea ever.

I'm a Web designer. I work for the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), who's headquarters are located in downtown Louisville. I've been working here for 7 years. The salary is decent (non-profit) and the benefits are GREAT. I really enjoy being around the people I work with. I also do some freelance work on the side from time to time under the name The Safe Media Company.

I came to work this morning to find the Fairness Campaign protesting out in front of the building. An openly lesbian Presbyterian minister from San Rafael, CA, was found guilty by the regional Synod of violating church law for officiating the marriages of two lesbian couples. The hearing is here in the building and the church will hear the final appeal of her case today. D R A M A. I'm going to have to go check it out.

Teen Pregnancy! blesses those beans at Sunergos and they make a delicious cup of coffee. I've never had any sort of negative experience there.... but I may be the only one. They may also assume I'm a lost cause but they've always been super nice.

Back on topic... I teach and play piano for money.
