I have only ever heard two songs from Radio Head, and that was over 10 years ago.

My little brother summed it up pretty well for me once when he said "My message to Radiohead fans is simple: calm down."

I give every album of theirs a chance but I always end up selling or giving them away because I get bored.

I still have "OK Computer". An album that is better than OK.

You have to wonder if this album would've gotten as much attention based solely on the music, taking away the publicity surrounding the whole "next-level" marketing hype.

However....ol' boy from Radiohead who did the soundtrack stuff for "And There Will Be Blood" blew my fuckin' mind. Awesome job there.

Well, someone told me it was him.

Yeah that was Jonny Greenwood. (Guitar player for Radiohead) He also did the soundtrack for a documentary entitled, Bodysong. Both the movie and the soundtrack I enjoyed.

Whether or not you enjoy the music aside, I think Radiohead could have told the guy in the studio who gets coffee for them, "Hey..I think we are going to put a record out." and the rest of the planet would know by lunchtime. My point is that Radiohead fans actively seek out information on them, so Radiohead has to do very little in the way of promoting.

However, Hail to the Theif fell relatively speaking, under the radar so perhaps I am wrong.

I don't think they've put out anything groundbreaking in years. They're a standard issue indie rock band with a unique voice in the front. They sort of dropped off my radar when they began to rip off Autechre...

I do like both of those soundtracks, though. I feel like they have to dumb his ideas down for Radiohead.

I do feel like they are hindering their potential for some reason. I loved In Rainbows though.

I went out and bought it immediately after seeing the movie and I listen to it frequently. It's a shame it wasn't nominated for a best soundtrack Oscar -- I heard it wasn't eligible for some stupid reason.

a "standard issue indie rock band" that was on emi/capitol for years, and is just now on an indie label. so, in other words, a rock band.

my favorite band for I think around 15 years, In Rainbows is terrific, I've got my ticket for the show in Indy and I can't wait, when I saw them in St. Louis during the "Thief" tour, Stephen Malkmus opened and I didn't know he was opening until they hit the first chord from JoJo's jacket, I ran around the lawn like a crazy person as that was the album we listened to pulling into the lot, I saw one guy with a Pavement shirt and gave the most enthusiastic high five of my life........................Radiohead was good as well, ALL I NEED is wondiferishical!!!!
