I don't care how it smells. It will be a far better social and musical experience than that hardcore nostalgia show in Chicago.

I can't imagine a reality in which I wouldn't prefer the company of an Amebix fan to a Bane fan.

Yeah because there's no disgusting caricature of the typical crust punk to turn people away from this show either.

Settle down, guys. I'm sure there will be loads of cultural diversity and artistic excellence at both shows.

I can IMO 90% of the crusty punks are more pretentious and fashion driven than any subscene. "ah dude you work for a living why aren't you fuckin livin it" with their overly patched clothes and studs that took days to align perfectly, not showering because its not cool to not smell like onions and dirty genitals. usually dragging around some beer fed dog. i am into A LOT of crust but i just got turned off by the whole scene due to all the garbage that comes along with it. and i know their are bad apples for every bunch but this Amebix show is going to take the cake.

The dog thing really bums me out, too...moreso because I feel like more often than not that it isn't being properly cared for.

The highlight of my youth was watching some cave man dude I used to be friends with beat a crust punk guy up because he found it a great idea to beat his "beer fed" dog in front of a show.
